What is cremation (ashes) jewelry?
Memorial jewelry is a wonderful way to cherish the memory of a loved one. It's a unique and lasting gift that can bring comfort and solace. Cremation jewelry is a popular choice for those who want to keep a small amount of ashes with them as a way to feel the presence of their loved one. It's a touching and personal way to honor their memory.
What amount of ashes are needed to make jewelry?
1/2 teaspoon of ashes (if possible) to create a cremation piece. While only a pinch goes into most cremation ash jewelry, of course, larger pieces (like a keepsake bear) need a bit more, we ask for a 1/2 teaspoon's worth, so we can select what we need, from the color of the ash and size of the grains.
How do you use the ashes?
We select what we need from the ashes sent to give the piece the best mix of natural ash color and grains. The selected material is then mixed with resin, into the desired stone shape, which hardens into a gem and is then crafted into your piece of jewelry.
